Mt 7:15-20 "A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a rotten tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. So by their fruits you will know them.”
By their fruits you will know them: A helpful standard for those who wish to live a good and holy life. We often think of this standard when reviewing others. This same standard will be used to review us. Do we BEAR GOOD FRUIT? Do our lives represent the teachings and charity of Jesus? As we try to protect and cultivate our own soul, by learning from those who BEAR GOOD FRUIT, may we also be aware that we too must BEAR GOOD FRUIT. Others are looking at, and to us.
"Most kind Jesus, Redeemer of the human race, look down upon us humbly prostrate before You. We are Yours, and Yours we wish to be; but to be more surely united with You, each one of us freely consecrates himself today to your Most Sacred Heart.
Many indeed have never known You; many, too, despising Your precepts, have rejected You. Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus, and draw them to Your Sacred Heart."
Sacred Heart of Jesus, have Mercy on us.
