Beloved
Sometimes, when meditating on the scriptures, the Holy Spirit will stop you on ONE word.
Once, BELOVED, was that word for me. I thought of it as one of those Bible words. St. John, "the disciple whom Jesus loved", His Beloved. Surely He couldn't mean me!
Lovingly, He left me sitting with that word, pondering what that could possibly mean?
Slowly, I became comfortable with the word.
Slowly, I opened my heart to get a glimpse of how God sees me.
This morning, as you start your day, I share this precious gift with you.
Be the disciple whom Jesus loves. Rest your head on His chest, and hear His heartbeat.
See yourself as God sees you, as His Beloved.
