Lk 18:9-14 "whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”
How often, at mass, do we exalt ourselves? - Do we make note of someone arriving late? - Do we make note of how someone is dressed? - Do we make note of an unruly child?
Do we make note that WE ARE JUDGING
We NEVER know the circumstances of another's life. We NEVER know.
Today, let us follow the example of the tax collector: "But the tax collector stood off at a distance and would not even raise his eyes to heaven but beat his breast and prayed, ‘O God, be merciful to me a sinner.’"
"whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”
