Holy, holy, holy Lord, mighty God!

My father used to read several books at the same time, and I could never understand how he kept the stories straight. I share that because I am currently reading several devotional books: Thirsting for Prayer (with AVI), The Priest is not His Own (Thur prayer for Priests),and A Heart on Fire (Sacred Heart on Fridays) and I do not remember where I read what I am about to share, but I hope it is a gift for you.

Holy, holy, holy Lord, mighty God!

The Holy Spirit often prompts me to enhance my prayer time. Recently, as an opening to my meditation, I read about praying the Holy, Holy, Holy as an opening prayer; uniting my prayer to the Whole church. In my prayer space, I have a picture of the Holy Sacrifice of the mass which includes the celebration on Earth, the celebration in Heaven, Jesus on the cross, God the Father, God the Holy Spirit, Our Blessed Mother and St. Joseph. My Sanctus and my meditation becomes united to ALL.

Holy, Holy, Holy.

Lord, God Almighty.

Heaven and earth are full of Your glory.

Hosanna in the highest.

Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.
