Let us pray for an end to abortion.
Psalm 103
As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him, For he knows how we are formed; He remembers that we are dust.
Man’s days are like those of grass; like a flower of the field he blooms; The wind sweeps over him and he is gone, and his place knows him no more.
But the kindness of the LORD is from eternity to eternity toward those who fear Him, And His justice toward children’s children, among those who keep His covenant.
The Lord’s kindness is everlasting to those who fear Him
How silly we are:
We place so much importance in ourselves "He remembers that we are dust"
We focus on making our mark on the world " his place knows him no more"
We seek worldly comfort, worldly things "Man’s days are like those of grass; like a flower"
We forget that our priority should be God "eternity to eternity"
We have the opportunity to change that right here, right now.
Let us pray this morning:
- You are God, i am not
- I am in the world, but not of the world
- I desire to forget "all that lies behind me, and strain forward to what lies in front" Phil 3:13
- I am racing toward the finishing-point to win the prize of God's heavenly call in Christ Jesus. Phil 3:14
The Lord’s kindness is everlasting to those who fear Him
