Judging

Lk 7:31-35 Jesus said to the crowds: “To what shall I compare the people of this generation? What are they like? They are like children who sit in the marketplace and call to one another, ‘We played the flute for you, but you did not dance. We sang a dirge, but you did not weep.’

For John the Baptist came neither eating food nor drinking wine, and you said, ‘He is possessed by a demon.’ The Son of Man came eating and drinking and you said, ‘Look, He is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is vindicated by all her children.”

Judging- we are incapable of seeing a person’s heart or knowing his or her relationship with God. We should never take the place of God in making judgments about someone’s motives. We should be humble, knowing our own weaknesses and sins. We are fallen creatures, therefore our judgment has been darkened- it has been compromised.

So, before we judge/jump to a conclusion, we must first PRAY. We must first TALK TO GOD and ask HIS guidance. We must ask HIM to help us to see as HE SEES.

When we do this, we will find that many Things we thought were important; and many opinions we had, just don't matter. Many Things that we busy ourselves about, in the True Scheme of Things, have little, to no value for our salvation.

Let us keep our eyes on the Cross, and not on another's business. Let us busy ourselves with Our Salvation, and Let GOD be God. HE is GOD, i am not.

Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.
