Lk 14:12-14 “When you hold a lunch or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or sisters or your relatives or your wealthy neighbors, in case they may invite you back and you have repayment."
Is JESUS saying that we should never have a family dinner? Of course not. HE is saying that our MOTIVATION is more important than our action. WHY are we doing what we are doing? JESUS is always concerned about Our Heart.
Are we DOING because we feel obligated? Are we DOING to be seen? Are we DOING to be repaid? "in case they may invite you back and you have repayment."
If we Do all out of Love, If we DO all to Glorify God, If we DO all because it is the right thing, " you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just.”
JESUS wants us to search our hearts. What is our MOTIVATION? HE wants to purify our INTENT, to SAVE OUR SOUL!
"For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just.”
Souls in Purgatory, pray for us. Eternal Father, I offer YOU the most Precious Blood of YOUR Divine SON, JESUS, in union with the masses said today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the Universal Church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.
