Jn 20:24–29 Jesus said to him, “Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.”
Some of us, as we have developed our Spiritual life/our relationship with God, have been blessed with a PROFOUND interaction with God. This is a special gift, but it is not necessary for our relationship with God. In fact, in some instances, it can become a stumbling block to our Spiritual life. We can yearn for the PROFOUND, and feel abandoned when THE FEELING is gone. We can yearn for THE FEELING, and not God. God is not a FEELING, He is a RELATIONSHIP. Dryness, in our prayer life/our journey through the desert, is a gift from God. We are given the opportunity to believe, and to have faith, without THE FEELING. We do not need to FEEL God, to KNOW HE IS ALWAYS THERE.
"Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.”
St. Thomas, pray for us.
