resisted to the point

Let us pray for an increased desire for Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament.

Heb 12:1-4

"let us rid ourselves of every burden and sin that clings to us"

How do we do that?

Prayer, frequent participation in the sacraments, and avoiding the near occasion of sin.

- Prayer- sometimes we don't even realize an action/response is a sin. When we take the time to develop a relationship with God, and when we talk to Him daily, our sins become clear.

- Sacraments - CCC1129: The Church affirms that for believers the sacraments of the New Covenant are necessary for salvation. "Sacramental grace" is the grace of the Holy Spirit, given by Christ and proper to each sacrament. The Spirit heals and transforms those who receive him by conforming them to the Son of God. The fruit of the sacramental life is that the Spirit of adoption makes the faithful partakers in the divine nature by uniting them in a living union with the only Son, the Savior.

- avoid sin - We must strive to rid ourselves of the temptation of sin. Are we truly willing to give up (fill in the blank) to avoid sin and receive EVERLASTING LIFE?

"In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood."

Let us reflect on that statement, as we strive to "persevere in running the race that lies before us while keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus"

St. Agatha, pray for us.
