Jesus Christ is risen, ALLELUIA
Jn 16:5-11 Jesus said to His disciples: “Now I am going to the one who sent Me, and not one of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’ But because I told you this, grief has filled your hearts. But I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go. For if I do not go, the Advocate will not come to you. But if I go, I will send Him to you. And when He comes He will convict the world in regard to sin and righteousness and condemnation: sin, because they do not believe in Me; righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will no longer see Me; condemnation, because the ruler of this world has been condemned.”
SIN, RIGHTEOUSNESS and CONDEMNATION
-SIN, because of what we have done -RIGHTEOUSNESS, because of what He has done -CONDEMNATION, because of what the evil one has done
Let us Rejoice that Pentecost is approaching, and we will celebrate that Jesus sent us an ADVOCATE. The Holy Spirit was/is sent to guide us to our Eternal Home.
In prayer, let us ask for the gifts of the Holy Spirit: - wisdom, understanding, knowledge, counsel, fortitude, fear (of offending) the Lord, and piety Isaiah 11:2-3.
-1 Corinthians 12:4-11: ecstatic utterances, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment of spirits, tongues, interpretation of tongues
- the fruits of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23
