Lk 9:7-9 Herod the tetrarch heard about all that was happening, and he was greatly perplexed because some were saying, “John has been raised from the dead”; others were saying, “Elijah has appeared”; still others, “One of the ancient prophets has. arisen.” But Herod said, “John I beheaded. Who then is this about whom I hear such things?” And he kept trying to see HIM.
So many Good people. SO MANY Good People put together things they have heard to create an answer. Regardless of the intention, creating an answer, even an answer that seems reasonable, is still GOSSIP. And Gossip is a sin. So many Good people- JESUS Is Not John the Baptist, raised from the dead JESUS Is Not Elijah JESUS Is Not an ancient prophet who has arisen So many Good people had an answer, but their answer was WRONG. GOSSIP IS A SIN.
Ps 141:3 Set a guard, LORD, before my mouth, keep watch over the door of my lips
Prov 10:19 Where words are many, sin is not wanting; but those who restrain their lips do well.
