Let us pray for our families, especially anyone who has left the church.
Psalm 1
"Blessed the man who follows not the counsel of the wicked, nor walks in the way of sinners, nor sits in the company of the insolent, but delights in the law of the LORD and meditates on his law day and night."
Blessings abound when we are faithful, when we seek out and surround ourselves with those who are faithful, AND when we spend time with God. He is our most important relationship.
"He is like a tree planted near running water, that yields its fruit in due season, and whose leaves never fade. Whatever he does, prospers."
We can be like that tree, when we root ourselves in the Living Water. Our lives will be fruitful; fruitful according to God's plan. When we allow His will to be done, we will prosper spiritually, which is the only true prosperity.
"Not so the wicked, not so; they are like chaff which the wind drives away. For the LORD watches over the way of the just, but the way of the wicked vanishes."
Earthly prosperity is like chaff. It withers, and dries up, and is blown away. Spiritual prosperity is fruitful. It never fades.
Let us meditate on His law so that we may be fruitful and prosperous.
"Blessed are they who hope in the Lord."
