Pray for all mothers who have had an abortion.
Jn 11:45-56 "he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation, and not only for the nation, but also to gather into one the dispersed children of God."
Jesus's journey to The Cross began at His incarnation, and now we walk with Him on His final earthly steps. Jesus became God-man, preached, was tortured and died to destroy death. He came, with mercy, to gather ALL of His children.
We know that Easter is approaching, and many of us are ready for bright pastel colors, joyfilled readings, bells, incense and the Alleluia. It is all coming, but first we must walk the path of the Passion. Lent is the preparation for this week; for Holy Thursday and Good Friday. We have been purging our souls, to follow Jesus to The Cross.
Today, let us ask God if there is any last penance, any last sacrifice, any last vice that we can purge, so that we may console His heart to Calvary?
He asks us each to "deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me." Lk 9:23. We must follow Him to The Cross before we can follow Him to Easter.
