We NEVER truly know the heart of another

Updated: Nov 4, 2019

Lk 19:1-10 ...When they all saw this, they began to grumble, saying, “He has gone to stay at the house of a sinner.” But Zacchaeus stood there and said to the LORD, “Behold, half of my possessions, LORD, I shall give to the poor, and if I have extorted anything from anyone I shall repay it four times over.” And JESUS said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house because this man too is a descendant of Abraham."

We NEVER truly know the heart of another. Zacchaeus spoke to the LORD, so only HE knew the change in this man's heart.

- (Zacchaeus)ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree in order to see JESUS >not a very dignified approach< Zacchaeus abandoned all to see JESUS - they began to grumble >not thrilled to see JESUS, not abandoning all to see JESUS < They sinned [judging, complaining, being uncharitable] AND, Speaking aloud, they drew others into their sin.

"Do not judge so that you will not be judged." Mt 7:1

We NEVER truly know the heart of another. We are ALL Children of GOD. We are ALL descendants of Abraham. Let us pray that we LIVE as though we BELIEVE

"For YOU love all things that are and loathe nothing that YOU have made; for what YOU hated, YOU would not have fashioned. And how could a thing remain, unless YOU willed it;" Today's First Reading: Wis 11:22-12:2
