Lk 21:5-11
I am always fascinated by people who try to predict the end of time. Jesus says, “See that you not be deceived, for many will come in my name, saying, 'I am he,’ and ‘The time has come.’ Do not follow them!"
Also by those who say the end must be near, it has never been this bad. In Matt 24:36, Jesus says ,""But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone."
We should never loose sight of the End Time, Our Final Judgement. Our eyes should always be focused on Heaven, Our One True Destiny.
But why worry? Why try to decipher the End? Focus instead on the Gift of Today.
Say you were able to uncode the last day. And say it was next week. Now say, you walked outside today, were hit by a truck and died. Would it really matter that the end was next week? Cherish the gift before you today: the blessing of another day, access to the sacraments, belonging to the One Holy Catholic Church and being a child of a God who loves you. A God who gave His life for you.
Cherish the gift of today! Be thankful, be joyous and focus only on Him!
